Why is it important to consider remanence/residual magnetism when choosing door magnets?

INKOM door magnets have anti-remanence stick with spring which creates an air gap when voltage to magnet is off. Air gap between anchor and door magnet prevents possible problems with remanence / residual magnetism. (Remanence/residual magnetism is: when a storage medium maintains its magnetic field even when the power is cut)

The problem with remanence is that fire doors do not close automatically. This means that EN1155 is not fulfilled.
