An earth electrode is a conductor placed in the ground to divert electrical current from an installation connected to the earth electrode to the surrounding ground. A customer buying power takes grounding for granted. This is despite the fact that the use of ungrounded or poorly grounded power takes place at great risk. All power suppliers must have approved grounding systems at their sites. This means that overvoltages that may occur for various reasons are directed into the ground so that they do not cause damage. Earthing thus functions as, among other things, personal protection, property protection, signal transmission protection, lightning protection and the like.
Grounding is an essential part of the vast majority of electronic applications, whether in the power grid, solar cells, battery storage, etc. The system consists of 5 parts, hardened steel tip, front tube, extension tube, impactor/impact sleeve and ground wire.
