Cables for marine technology

Cables for marine technology
In total, 71% of the earth’s surface is covered by the sea. As for the total volume, only 5 % is known to humanity. Therefore, the development of marine systems is moving forward.

The requirements are very high as applications are needed for water depths down to 6000 m. Extreme application conditions require special and reliable solutions. Submarine cables often have to meet very high mechanical and electrical load requirements. With our marine technology cable range, we offer seawater-resistant hybrid and submarine cables as well as reliable data cables for use in submarine robotics (ROV).

    • What is a halogen-free cable?

A halogen-free cable is normally defined as a power cable that does not contain PVC plastics. Standard halogen-free cables offer a high degree of safety for people, nature, buildings and machinery, but have a major drawback – they are often too inflexible to compete with PVC in all applications. This is not the case with SABIXÂź. Halogen-free cables with SABIXÂź material have significant technical advantages over PVC.
