Inertial sensor NBN66-D
Based on our tilt sensor model series NBN, this inertial sensor is suitable for detecting the tilt – here also called position – over 360°. In addition to the MEMS accelerometer, a MEMS gyroscope is used to measure the angular velocity/rotational speed accurately and with a high update rate. This inertial sensor behaves like a rotary encoder with a speed signal.
Acceleration and rotation speed values can be offered via common industrial and fieldbus interfaces such as CANopen, ProfiNET, EtherCAT and also under functional safety via CANopen Safety, Profisafe via Profinet and Fail Safe via EtherCAT. For this reason, for example, the NBN66-D is an integrated international sensor for industrial automation.
