Inclinometer NBT / S3 SIL2 / PLd The inclinometer measures the inclination of the gravitational field using MEMS (Micro-ElectroMechanical-System) sensors with subsequent digitization and linearization via controllers. It has a solid aluminum housing (optional stainless steel) and is highly resistant to vibrations and shocks. Casting measures in the house lead to the achievement of protection class IP 69K. The NBT has a redundant MEMS sensor system that is used to perform a plausibility check inside the inclinometer. Only one position datum is output; the probability of this is checked using the other system’s position datum. If the deviation of the two systems is higher than a certain value, the sensor will enter the faulty state.
