Rotary encoder TRT58 Registration of angular position and rotation using Hall sensors. Data output plus parameterization and diagnosis via PROFINET. Robust housing made of seawater resistant aluminum or stainless steel – stainless steel shaft – ball bearing with radial shaft seal sensor circuit consisting of ASIC with Hall element – electrical connection via M12 connector or cable socket. The Profinet interface according to IEC 61158 /61784 or PNO specifications order number 2.712 and 2.722, version 2.2, is integrated in the TRT absolute encoders of the model range. Real time classes 1 – 3 are supported, i.e. Real Time (RT) and Isochronous Real Time (IRT) plus the requirements of compliance class C. It is not necessary to set the address, transmission rate or terminating resistor. A name, stored in the non-volatile memory of the absolute encoder, is assigned via the PROFINET controller to address the device. The integrated 2-fold switch allows TWK PROFINET absolute encoders to be used in star, tree and line network topologies. An exhaustive description of integration in a PROFINET network can be found in the manual TRT12887. In the version with code type ‘S’, the TRT offers a swing function. This converts the position value of the sensor axis into the position of a slewing ring or rotating table. The swivel ring encoder allows the number of teeth on the swivel ring and the encoder gears to be adjusted via the encoder parameters. In this way, all gear ratios are possible and the encoder can be adapted to any turn by the user. The output values are the position of the swung ring in degrees (resolution adjustable) and his speed in degree/time (time-based adjustable).
