Product information “Rotary encoder TRT/S3 SIL2”
Registration of the angular position and revolutions using the
Hall sensors – data output plus parameterization and
diagnosis via PROFINET. Robust housing made of
seawater-resistant aluminum or stainless steel – stainless steel
steel shaft – ball bearing with radial shaft seal sensor circuit
consisting of ASIC with Hall element – electrical
connection via M12 plug or cable socket. Profinet interface according to IEC 61158/61784
or the PNO specifications Order No. 2.712 and 2.722, version 2.2, is integrated into the TRT Absolute
the coders in the model series. Real-time classes 1 and 3 are supported, i.e. Real Time (RT) and Isochronous
Real Time (IRT) plus the requirements for compliance class C. To achieve the SIL2 level, it contains
TRT/S3 additional internal monitoring mechanisms as well as secure communication via PROFIsafe.
The PROFIsafe protocol is implemented according to the PROFIsafe profile of Safety Technologies.
