Supercapacitor 1.5MW

Supercapacitor, thanks to the combination of hydro and short-term storage, can feed more renewable energy into the grid – FFR.
Rapid changes in power demand can be handled by the Ultra-capacitor so the need for rapid mechanical changes can be eliminated. This significantly reduces the maintenance costs of the power plant.
Compared to batteries, ultracapacitors are almost maintenance-free and have a much longer lifetime. The ultracapacitors/supercapacitor cells are well established and tested and have a long lifetime >1,000,000 cycles. The modules are equipped with BMS (traditional battery management system adapted for supercapacitors) and protection. Fire protection
Each cabinet is also equipped with active fire extinguishing system. To note is that supercapacitor modules are not prone to fire and are in themselves very safe for energy storage. The fire protection agent is calcium carbonate based Stat-X aerosol cartridges to provide active fire extinguishing for each cabinet. The fire extinguishing is individually customized for each cabinet and connected to the EMS. The Stat-X aerosol can be easily cleaned. Further details can be
