Train and railway cables

Train and railway cables
Railway cables are essential to meet the current challenges facing the rail industry. Whether it is the power supply on board or in the rail base, various control tasks, data transmission or whether a complete cable network is required – in all areas cables are needed for the highest performance requirements. In addition to being halogen-free, the railway cables used must be flame-resistant and self-extinguishing and must not enhance flame propagation.

SAB BR√ĖCKSKES combines all these requirements in the registered trademark SABIX¬ģ. The SABIX¬ģ Rail cables comply with the highest safety standards according to EU legislation. according to DIN EN 45545-2. If you still cannot find a suitable cable for your application, we are happy to design the desired cable according to your individual needs.

    Questions & Answers

    • What is a halogen-free cable?

A halogen-free cable is normally defined as a power cable that does not contain PVC plastics. Standard halogen-free cables offer a high degree of safety for people, nature, buildings and machinery, but have a major drawback – they are often too inflexible to compete with PVC in all applications. This is not the case with SABIX¬ģ. Halogen-free cables with SABIX¬ģ material have significant technical advantages over PVC.
